Wonderful Ideas for your Disneyland Vacation

Disneyland is definitely one of the most visited tourist destinations in the world. While most people go to Disneyland for a day just to enjoy the amazing rides, here are 5 other fun things you should definitely do if you’re staying at Disneyland. Right in Anaheim, California, there are two theme parks facing each other across a central plaza: Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. You can do all these things at Disneyland or California Adventure.

We’ll begin our list with some less-known things to do at Disneyland and work our way up to the ones that are people’s favorites.

Celebrate a Birthday, Anniversary or Special Occasion

You can celebrate your birthdays, anniversaries, at any given day of the Year at Disneyland.

If you’re planning to be in Disneyland for a special birthday, honeymoon, anniversary or another occasion, there’s a way so as to you don’t have to celebrate alone. And you don’t have to pay extra money, either.

Once you arrive, halt at Disneyland’s City Hall or California Adventure Guest Relations to buy a souvenir birthday or a birthday celebration button. And here’s the fun part: No one will check your ID to confirm the actual day of your birthday or anniversary.

Just wear the button and move around feeling like a celebrity for sure, with all the Disney Cast Members and other guests wishing and greeting you all day. In fact, there have been instances when people sing happy birthday to a random stranger wearing the celebration pin. Well, that’s just one of the ways to celebrate your big day at Disneyland.

Celebrate the Holidays

Although any normal day at Disneyland feels like a holiday, you should consider spending your vacations at Disneyland. They light up the sky like it’s the fourth of July every time they set off the fireworks.

Disneyland also gets all hyped up for Halloween, and Mickey hosts a one-of-a-kind Halloween Party which has its own parade and fireworks.

Disneyland also celebrates Christmas, with vacation-themed overlays at it’s a small world and Haunted Mansion, handmade candy canes and holiday treats.

Go Shopping

You’ll find a good themed store outside almost every popular ride, full of tempting souvenirs.

You can also buy the good old Mouse Ears hat in scores of styles or if you feel like going fancy, buy some designer items with a luxurious Disney theme.

There are also so many shops along Main Street USA and also near the New Orleans Square. The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique near the castle is famous for costumes that’d suit even the finest of princesses.

Go for a Show

Disneyland and California Adventure park have plentiful of amazing live performance shows that feature singing, dancing and sometimes a little audience participation if you may.  If rides aren’t exactly your thing unlike all your friends, you could easily chill out and spend the day just watching the shows. We’d recommend you not to miss watching The Frozen show at California Adventure park. There are other options as well, like the World of Color, a water-and-lights show worth staying up late for.

Watch a Parade

In most places around the world, you’re lucky if you get to see one parade a year, but at Disneyland, things are very different; you can watch 2-4 parades here within a single day.

In Disneyland, the iconic Mickey’s Soundsational Parade is one of their best parades in years, and it takes place around the year only to be replaced at Christmas by a seasonal version. Disneyland’s Night parades are even more stunning. Over at California Adventure, it’s the Pixar Play Parade.
